Changes to Lake Rules Approved

Summary of the rule change:

• Previous Rule:

  • 5. Off-road vehicles, including dirt bikes and ATVs, are not allowed on FOHL property.

• New Approved version:

  • 5. (Revised 6/1/26) Off-road vehicles, including dirt bikes and ATVs, are permitted on FOHL property strictly for the purpose of transit to and from designated parking areas within the lake property. General recreational travel or riding around the lake and park perimeter is prohibited. All vehicles must remain on defined trails and be equipped with functional, USDA-approved spark arrestors to mitigate fire risk. The Board reserves the authority to suspend off-road vehicle access during high-risk fire seasons.
